See All Laws and PoliciesIn 1951, when AWI was established, only two federal laws to protect animals existed. In the years since, we have worked diligently for the adoption and enforcement of laws and policies that will protect animals everywhere: in agriculture, in commerce, in our homes and communities, in research, and in the wild.
