Take Action to Strengthen OH Laws Protecting Pets

Ohio residents, we need your help to strengthen protections for companion animals in the state! Please urge your state senator to cosponsor S.B. 64 and S.B. 232. If enacted, S.B. 64 would increase the penalties for the abuse of companion animals in Ohio and prohibit individuals who have committed felony animal cruelty from owning companion animals for a set period. S.B. 232 would require that a veterinarian conduct any euthanasia or surgical procedure—including tail docking, ear cropping, and dew claw removal—performed on dogs at high-volume breeding facilities.
