Act Now to Protect Primates from the Cruel Pet Trade

Nonhuman primates are wild animals, not pets or playthings. Instead of swinging from trees and nurturing social bonds, primates kept as pets endure a lifetime of deprivation and pose a serious threat to the people around them. The Captive Primate Safety Act (H.R. 3199/S. 1594) would outlaw the sale, breeding, and possession of pet primates in the United States, protecting both the animals and public safety. Please urge your US representative and senators to cosponsor this bill.
